Vanity and Sink Area:
Updated Features:
Double Sink Vanity: The vanity features a sleek design with modern black cabinetry and soft-close hinges to keep from waking everyone else up in early mornings. This upgraded vanity provides ample storage for bathroom essentials.
Beautiful White Quartz Countertop: The quartz countertop not only enhances the visual appeal but also offers durability and resistance to water damage, which is important in bathrooms where water and humidity are constantly present.
Contemporary Faucets: The faucets have been upgraded to polished chrome, which complements the minimalist look and is easy to clean.
Oversized Mirrors: The large rectangular mirrors above each sink add a sense of spaciousness to the room. This is a trick that our designers love using to make smaller spaces like bathrooms seem bigger.
Benefits:
Increased Storage: The deep drawers in the vanity provide much-needed storage for bathroom supplies, keeping the counter area clutter-free.
Durability: Quartz countertops are known for their longevity and resistance to water, stains, and scratches, making them ideal for bathroom settings for our clients.
Modern Aesthetic: The combination of black cabinetry, white countertops, black drawer hardware, and chrome faucets gives the bathroom a sleek, contemporary look that will stay timeless. The various colors in the former outdated design had quickly gotten tired and the homeowner desperately wanted a new, fresh look.
Shower Area:
Updated Features:
Glass-Enclosed Walk-In Shower: Our completed bathroom remodel includes a spacious walk-in shower with a frameless glass enclosure, giving the bathroom a more open and luxurious feel. Doubled with the large mirrors, this really opens up the room, making it seem much larger than it is.
Subway Tile Walls: Classic white subway tiles line the shower walls, creating a clean and modern aesthetic. We’ve found that subway tiles are a great go-to since they provide a nice, clean look!
Multiple Showerheads: The homeowner loved our recommendation of adding a handheld showerhead alongside the primary showerhead. This adds convenience to them for both everyday use while showering and also for cleaning the shower area.
Benefits:
Spacious & Open: The frameless glass enclosure provides an open feel, making the bathroom appear larger than it is while allowing natural light to flow through.
Easy Maintenance: Subway tiles are a popular choice due to their ease of cleaning and low maintenance, making them ideal for a high-use area like a shower.
Enhanced Functionality: The dual showerheads offer versatility and convenience, making the shower experience more luxurious.
Toilet Area:
Updated Features:
Modern, Low-Flow Toilet: We installed this sleek, low-flow toilet, contributing to water conservation without compromising performance.
Benefits:
Water Efficiency: Low-flow toilets are designed to use less water per flush, saving the homeowner money on water bills while being eco-friendly. A low-flow toilet uses about 1.6 gallons per use, compared to 7 gallons for a standard toilet! We all know how scarce water supply can get here in Sacramento so this was a small but nice added touch.
Compact & Sleek Design: The toilet’s modern, compact design fits seamlessly into the overall minimalist theme of the bathroom.
Total Remodel Time:
This bathroom remodel took us 4 weeks from start to finish. Here's a rough breakdown of the timeline:
Demolition: 1 week
Plumbing and Electrical Work: 1 week
Tile Installation (shower and floor): 1 week
Vanity and Countertop Installation: 1 week
Final Touches (fixtures, glass enclosure, toilet install): 1 week
We at Hex General Contractors prefer using high-quality materials like quartz countertops and modern fixtures because they add visual appeal and enhance the bathroom’s functionality and longevity. The longer the room’s style stays updated and the longer the fixtures and material stay functional, the further your hard-earned dollar goes! This remodel has transformed the space into a modern, durable, and easy-to-maintain bathroom that meets the needs of today’s homeowners.
