Personalized Interior Design in Sacramento, CA with HEX

Hex General Contractors is about to begin the construction phase for a beautiful and functional bathroom remodel in Sacramento, CA. This design, personally created by our in-house team, emphasizes clean lines, neutral tones, and modern elegance. Our team met with the homeowners several times both in our office and in their home. They listened to their goals for their updated space and used their expertise to put together a design that blends practicality with a spa-like ambiance. This will create a sanctuary for the homeowners that they’ll enjoy for years to come. Below, we’ll explore our design and build process, key features, and the benefits of the planned updates.

Bathroom Design Elements:

1. Spacious Walk-In Shower with Built-In Niche:

  • The centerpiece of the bathroom is a walk-in shower directly in front of you as you enter. It will have a sleek, frameless glass door and a thoughtfully placed built-in niche for storage of shower necessities. The niche features intricate hexagonal mosaic tiles, creating a subtle but elegant contrast against the larger wall tiles.

  • The shower walls are adorned with light subway tiles that give the space a modern, polished look.

Benefits:

  • Convenience & Organization: The built-in niche provides ample space for storing toiletries, eliminating the need for external shelving and maintaining the clean, uncluttered look of the shower, especially since it is the focal point of the room.

  • Timeless Appeal: The combination of subway and mosaic tiles creates a timeless aesthetic that will remain stylish for years to come.

2. Hexagonal Tile Flooring:

  • The floor is designed with dark hexagonal tiles, offering a modern twist to the classic tile layout. The bold geometric pattern contrasts beautifully with the soft tones used throughout the space. When our team presented this idea to the homeowners they instantly loved it and said we had to do it.

Benefits:

  • Durability: The hexagonal tiles are not only visually striking but also durable and easy to maintain, making them ideal for bathroom settings.

  • Visual Interest: The dark flooring grounds the space and adds a layer of visual depth, making the room feel more dynamic without overwhelming the design.

3. Dual Vanity with Matte Black Fixtures:

  • The double vanity features white shaker-style cabinetry with elegant countertops. Each sink is equipped with sleek matte black faucets and matching hardware, providing a bold yet sophisticated contrast.

  • Above the vanity are large mirrors with black-framed light fixtures, adding both functionality and a modern touch to the overall design.

Benefits:

  • Functional for Couples: The double vanity allows for two people in the bathroom at the same time, making it perfect for busy households. These are the norm in master bathrooms such as this one, and are very practical.

  • Modern & Minimalist: The matte black fixtures give the space a sleek, modern appearance while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic that complements the clean lines of the cabinetry.

4. Relaxing Soaking Tub:

  • Adjacent to the shower is a spacious soaking tub, framed by soft white surfaces and accented with black fixtures to match the rest of the design. The tub is situated beneath a large window, allowing natural light to flood the space and enhance the spa-like ambiance.

Benefits:

  • Luxury & Relaxation: The soaking tub provides a tranquil space for relaxation, turning the former regular, outdated bathroom into a personal spa.

  • Natural Light: The strategically placed window allows natural light to brighten the space, creating a serene and airy atmosphere.

5. Cohesive Matte Black Accents:

  • Throughout the bathroom, matte black accents are consistently used—from the towel bars to the faucets and door handles. These accents help tie the design together, creating a cohesive and contemporary look.

Benefits:

  • Consistency in Design: The use of matte black throughout the bathroom creates a unified and harmonious design.

  • Low Maintenance: Matte black hardware not only looks great but is also resistant to any water spots and fingerprints, which results in easy maintenance.

Estimated Timeline for Construction:

The construction phase is expected to take around 5 to 6 weeks, depending on material availability and any potential unforeseen circumstances. With our 98% on-time rate, we’re confident we’ll get it done within this timeframe. Here’s a breakdown:

  • Demolition and Prep Work: 1 week
